WORKSHOP B-1 (Revised)
Developing Staff Resource Plan for Effective Implementation and Staff Engagement

Watch this space for the next training

The success of a school is highly dependent on an engaged workforce. The accelerating pace of change in teaching and learning, coupled with disruptive forces such as technology, has its toll on staff well-being. The paramount importance of staff development and engagement cannot be understated.

What and who drive staff engagement? Who own the responsibility of engaging staff? How does engagement drive Staff Resource Planning? How do we formulate effective staff resource strategy to achieve the desired school outcomes? How do we build a strong learning and collaborative culture? How can the School Staff Developer (SSD) partner the School Leaders and Department Heads to strategically champion a strong staff development and engagement strategy?

This workshop highlights the critical factors that drive staff engagement and development in the light of school staff resource planning. Effective workforce cannot be achieved by the SSD piecemeal. It has to be intertwined with the larger school strategy. With applied learning our focus, we will take the participants through the process of thinking, formulating and developing an actionable Strategic Plan to strengthen staff engagement and development. Participants will learn, explore and discuss in small groups multiple case studies on staff strategies based on MOE schools to enable context-specific application of the concepts throughout the training.
